Flood water management – case study of the French Vallee the la Bievre
Marie Christine HUAU, agronomic engineer, began as an oceanograph on the climate change for the protection of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. IN 1988, she joined during 17 years the SAUR company within the Bouygues Group, specializing in the environmental water services and buid construction. Her responsibilities include technical study, communication, business development in France and export in eastern european countries, in Poland (Gdańsk, Sopot), Bulgaria, China and South and West Africa. Then, she was Head of the R&D Innovation department for water and sewage services within SAUR Group. From 2003 to 2007, she worked at Ifremer (the french marine research Institute), as the technology transfer and industrial partnership Director. Since then, she works in VEOLIA Group, in charge of business development at Veolia Water, to develop commercial solutions for coastal bathing water quality, water cycle management, preserve resources and ecosystems, and for climate change resilience with solutions to reduce floods and droughts.
