A graduate of the Sanitary Engineering department at the Wrocław University of Technology (1974).He defended his doctoral thesis: Model research on the impact of selected constructional parameters of infiltration of radiant water intakes on their performance in 1980. Habilitation thesis The basis for dimensioning of side storm transfers with throttling pipe was published in 1998. He obtained the title of professor of technical sciences in 2012. Currently, he manages the departmental Department of Water Supply and Sewage.
In scientific and technical achievements, he has collaborated in over 350 works, mainly from the basics of design, construction and operation of water supply and sewage systems. He’s also an author of two editions of the academic textbook Fundamentals of safe dimensioning of urban areas dehydration (Wyd. Seidel-Przywecki, 2011 and 2015), co-author of 3 monographs and 13 patents.
Promoter of 4 doctoral dissertations. Reviewer in 7 doctoral and 8 habilitation programs and a reviewer of 7 textbooks and monographs. He chairs the Diploma Examination Commission in the field of Environmental Engineering. Member of the Arbitration Court of the Lower Silesian Branch of the Polish Association of Sanitary Engineers and Technicians. A member of the Scientific Committees of several cyclical conferences and Program Counses of the Exploiter and Water Technology Forum. A member of the Sanitary Engineering Section of the Committee of Civil and Water Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Water Management Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
He has professional design and executive qualifications. He is an appraiser of PZITS, an expert on the list of the Minister of Environmental Protection and Water Management in the field of water protection and an expert from the list of Lower Silesian Voivode in the field of water and legal proceedings.
