Vincent Wolfs is general manager of the company Sumaqua, and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Leuven (Belgium). He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from KU Leuven, and is specialized in urban and river modelling, climate adaptation, data mining and artificial intelligence techniques. He is active in several European R&D projects, including Brigaid (EU H2020) and FORWARD (ERA-NET), and various consulting projects. Dr. Wolfs is particularly interested in bridging the gap between academia and industry, and bringing innovative technologies to practice. In this context, he is co-founder and manager of the university spin-off company Sumaqua. Sumaqua is a high-tech company, offering various consulting services and software for cities, water managers, water suppliers and industry.
