An extremely inspiring man – Andrzej Wójtowicz, who has 28 years of work at the company Wodociągi Słupsk, previously as a sewage treatment plant technologist and chief specialist in the field of water and sewage management. He has been the president of the board for 10 years.
An active member of industry working groups, trainer and lecturer, author of many professional publications. Leader and coordinator of inter-branch and local government programs, including in the field of consolidated rainwater management in the Słupia river basin.
He will present the challenges and state of rainwater management in Słupsk.
For many years, the company has been involved in the activities of the city of Słupsk and several neighboring municipalities in the field of organizing the management of rainwater and snowmelt. Currently, it is a form of support for local governments in creating urban policy, providing access to GIS data and tools, and implementation of modern solutions in the field of rainwater and snowmelt management. Despite the desire to engage in comprehensive operations along with taking over responsibility for this area, we have not yet managed to develop an effective system that would be socially acceptable. In the presentation we indicate the result of our analyzes and actions taken, and define barriers that require solutions and compromises often independent of the Company.
